Since spending three seasons in Carolina with the Panthers Organization. Van Roten signs a Free Agency deal with the New York Jets, bringing him back home to Long Island, New York. Van Roten was a three year starting guard for Ron Rivera, the Panthers former head coach and now the new head coach of the Washington Redskins.
GVR speaks about his former teammate, Cam Newton. Newton is officially with the Patriots now, and will see his former guard twice a year. GVR tells Sirius XM Radio his thoughts about Newton teaming up with "the Hoodie".
If the season starts they expect to finish it, Van Roten mentions in the interview. Van Roten still has not been able to get to the Jets facilities because of the Covid-19 virus. Hopefully we will all get to see the NFL season start and finish with players remaining healthy.
